This, if you can supply your own replacement most people don't care. 20 ish mins before you need to go, start looking for a replacement by doing a /sea all find someone and have them show up, tell the team once you have found one and say "Hey I have to leave in 10-15 mins but I got a replacement coming to replace me" They don't care that you are leaving, they care that your leaving causes their exp to slow down. By having a replacement everything is good. Unless you are trying to replace the healer with a THF or the tank with a THF or a THF with....a THF....No one likes those... (Jokes....)

Do not replace yourself without telling anyone you plan on doing it, most of the time another person was planning on leaving and the party breaks 20 minutes after the rep gets there

Pretty much everything said here is correct. However, keep in mind the possibility that you won't be able to find a replacement. While I agree that nobody will care if you timely replace yourself, replacements aren't always available. Furthermore, WHM is often not a suitable replacement for RDM; it has neither refresh nor dispel.

To add on to Reecey's comment, members of the party may have friends they want to bring as replacements - another reason to alert the group before you get a replacement.

From personal experience, if i have to go i ask the pt if they want me to find a rep. Sometimes they'll say yes, others people will say "oh i have to go too." I've had 30min parties and 5 hour parties, and I'm only 25RDM. I suspect when I get deeper into the game the average party length will be longer since often the reason a party ends is you outleveled the area and don't have a new sync. Or sometimes we move to a new camp if one's available and convenient. But being able to stay in one place longer I think will make parties last longer, and that comes with the higher levels.

That's mostly true. Usually if you need to move to a different camp in the same area then it's usually fine but suppose you have a sync 25 pt at Qufim and one member drops and the only rep is level 16, which means going back to the dunes then the party is likely to disband (especially since in lower levels someone is likely to not have the nearest OP). Already happened to me several times.

I see the duration of a party can vary quite a bit. And the lower the sync level, the shorter the party tends to last. That makes sense. Thanks.

Yep. I've been gatherning OPs and gate crystals in earnest only since I reached lvl 25 and got Sneak and Invisible. So a sync 25-30 party probably won't move easily to a far location.

Most of times pt will take 20min to even start expying. Unless you get more time to play (2h minimum) i think you would be better soloing.

I was thinking along the same lines. I'll probably wait for those times when I have at least 2 hours available before I dive into party play.
