Waited a few but it still gets stuck. I'm not sure if i did something to mess up the reset, might have been logged in to the character select screen. I'm all logged out now.

Just installed the game and the same is happening to me, Char name : Acrenon

Try the unstuck function from the nasomi account site or try to click deny instead of confirm when starting the game. That sometimes boots a character. I can see you online but cannot send you a /tell
