Hi! I was given one million gil to start on the server because I had FRIENDS that played here and still do play here. I used that gil to buy a few items and then invest in crafting for myself. My friends specifically told me that they would not fund my gil making on the server past that point. I have been self-sufficient by either farming or crafting to this point. Sure, I had a friend in TopShelf that wanted me in so that i could play with them. The only reason why this even was okay is because the friend that got me in was a trusted and member and TopShelf agreed to let me in based on a vote.
I have contributed and camped in TopShelf since the very first day I got there. If I was so hard carried and a terrible player I would have been kicked from this linkshell already because that's what this ls does. Now, if it offends you that friends help out one-another it clearly shows that you don't have any friends. Here's a thought, stop bitching on a private server forums about other people and go try making some friends. You are pathetic.
Well, as long as you didn't pay any real money for that it's not against the rules but still feels (at least to me) a little unfair compared to those who had to start with just 10 gil (ok, 60 if you count the coupon), takes a long time just to get 2500gil for basic scale mail.
