I don't think we know what the results of 7 slots would be.
Yeah, this is my take on it at this point. 1-2k players listing 300 items each should cause supply gluts and bring a lot of prices more in line with themselves. We have a very large number of items where their singles sell for much more or much less than 1/12 of the stack price, where youd think a low level player might come in and even those out to make some money. Or as in this post's example of an item with unlimited npc availability listing for 10x the npc price on the AH. Maybe the rmt bots on retail took care of this, or maybe it's not even a bad thing.
Changing the limit to 7 though.. would this cause people to undercut to the extreme on a very large number of items? Obviously the weapons market from 55-70 would completely dissapear, along with a lot of other items, but prices on most things would probably go down as people tried to get rid of them. A lot of people hold out for higher prices because they can. We'd all certainly spend 3-4x as much time in our inventories as we already do, ugh. The one craft that this change would really help is cooking, and as nabutso said, crystals would def go up quite a bit in price as more and more were npced.
