For me? I make parties on BRD and tell them I’ll switch soon... and then go to blm when we are 6/6 and see if anyone has the balls to bail.

What is BLM good for, in its current state, on Nasomi right now?

I don't know what BLM is like nowadays since magic damage was scaled back but I agree with not sucking. Not sucking means good gear, using mp efficient spells (unless in a manaburn) and refresh juice spamming (unless rdm in party). Dropping any of these three things will mean lower performance. Respectable xp/hr can be achieved I am sure but it is up the player-base to do all three of these things. Sadly, in my time on Nasomi up to my lvl 68 blm it was a very rare occasion to meet a BLM who did all three things.

COR will be very strong to have from 40+ but BRD less so. Maybe even without a COR decent xp/hr could be obtained with 6 BLM but I don't know as I don't play on Nas much anymore, go and find out.

Sub nin so you can use two wands and utsusemi. Stand in melee range and take hate on purpose so you take your turn with shadows just like any melee would. I'd invite a blm/nin at your level way before a blm/whm or rdm. I might even pick it before a drg/sam if I'm not expecting a PL.

Agreeing with this, I've gone out my way to invite BLM's and there are a lot of terrible ones out there.

I don't expect everyone to have top-tier gear as long as its passable (Fairly up to date wand/staves, reasonable INT gear) and I don't hold prejudice against any job, and I can look past spell resists etc because of the state of the game. But it's basic stuff like simply blowing up the mob without going AFK, paying attention to links for sleep/bind, backup healing in emergencies, setting up a skillchain plan for magic bursts... a lot I've come across just sit and barely do anything beyond cast one or two spells a fight or just go AFK.

It's a shame as I have partied with some good BLM players where we've made short work of mobs.

Check blm tread. There's a few options. If waiting hrs for an invite doesnt suit u try building a party. With 1700 ppl online there's tons of jobs seeking. At a given time 5 or 6 blms your lol could b seeking. Like others have said manaburns is another option tho at 45 it might b hard to find a camp. Lastly I've seen ppl sugguest blm/nin as pullers. This makes it so dps isn't taken away during fights. Promy v solo is another option post lvl50 (I think its a bit rough in my exp but a option).

Just did a 56 Manaburn on Robber Crabs in Tree. Was getting 166 without a chain on ITs. With COR roll was lucky to break 200 on chain.

I think the exp per mob there is borked.
