So this is a tactic used to stop others from eventually leveling and competing with a high level salesmen. Assume Aaron is 100 cooking, and bob is 60. it is in aaron's best capital-market interest to undercut all items of profit from 60-98, so that aaron makes all the money with the top 2 items and everyone else leveling has to pay much more money (due to less profits) this keeps aaron on the top with less competition for longer. Also aaron probably HQs the shit out of that recipe so makes more profit and might even be able to profit at a level where others with out HQ would be selling for a loss.
What you are advocating against is capitalism and the free market. This is how it works
