When people can’t attack an argument they attack the character. I made a comment of possibly looking to do x and people take it so personal they forget I was talking to the argument. Making personal attacks is an ad hominem fallacy. It severally weakens anyone’s argument the moment one does such an attack. There isn’t anything wrong disagreeing. But there’s something wrong with calling people stupid, dumb, and any attacks relating to ones character. It shows how inconsiderate and inconceivable your thinking is when civilly discussing a topic. Again if Nabu were to have given me the link. It’s fine. It’s the same people doing the attacks—no one new.

Now with that stated, as I’ve said on here and many other times, I’m glad how Nas handled it. I have no complaints.

Huh? I never said you called anyone stupid. (Though it's not a great argument to be like, show me somewhere I did something.. but don't use that time where I did it.)

I said we weren't attacking you, instead of your argument. We were attacking your argument, and then when you seemingly decided to just switch to repeating yourself over and over again (We get it, you're okay with how nas handled it)... then we called you stupid. Solely because, at that time, you were acting incredibly stupid.

So comments like this are constructive? I don’t think calling someone a child because I proposed something was childish.

The issue above is yes you honestly did. But after discussing with you after you made a big deal about how stupid my argument was, the only difference you came up with was “leverage” and people seem to forget that. Now if you were to go back at what I posted, I even agreed with comments you’ve said and have countlesstly said if there were some compensation being done I wouldn’t push the issue. And that’s what’s happening.

But to say that I am stupid because my argument is stupid, when your reply when I pressed the issue was “leverage”, then it really shows that in fact there is substance in the claim I made. Now I’m not saying it’s perfect, because the thread I was pulling on when mentioning the possibility of removing x is that if you take gear from anyone without compensating them, it causes people to not think rationally. Seeing all the emotional posts from those who earned relics and gear in a easier time shows the importance of why this discussion is meaningful and why just straight up taking items away wasn’t the right solution. It’s why I am happy some buy back program was made. I am not advocating not taking gear away without first coming up with a solution. I’ve said this to many people. And now that one is made, I have rested my case.

So why you all call me names and not attacking the argument when the matter is settled baffles me to no end. It’s a settled matter or am I wrong?
