So that just happened to me. Heard WD ding something while I was ingame, game shut down, then gave me that error when I went to get back in. WD flagged it and quarantined it and I had to restore it. Launcher worked just fine after.

I get this same error. It happened after my antivirus detected a trojan on my pc once file was removed the loader stopped workin. now trying to redownload and my anti virus is saying threat found and wont install. Can anyone help? Is this app trying to invade my pc?

This was a common issue between me and my friends.. Disabling windows defender fixes the issue however if you turn on Ashita with it enabled it will give error to boot.exe and cause you to re download everything. Also, you need to have it disabled if you reinstall it as well.

turn off antivirus
unzip the boot.exe
add boot.exe to exceptions
turn on antivirus
