Had Snipers ring x2 Emp Pin and my chest some how get sold on AH and was curious if i can get help getting it back. i can see who bought my items and i was not the one that sold the items

Like, somebody put your items up on AH--on your character? For cheaper or something, meaning you got back less gil than the items are worth?

It sounds like it might be a different issue. If it's related, it almost sounds like the people stealing items are now just doing it to troll. Or really don't care about getting caught.

Either way, I think you'll have to contact Nasomi on Naschat and then just wait in line. Could take a while though...

After doing more research i figured out that someone was able to gain access to my account, sold them on in Bazzaar to someone for 750k stating that they had 900k worth of items up for 750k at teleport dem and i was able to contact the person that bought the items. not the persons fault by any means but some how people were able to access my account.

Yeah that could be the same. So did you actually get to keep the gil from the bazaar sales though? Or just take the loss to get the items back?

Gain access to your account from a diff ip ? Diff pc? Even though your linked on the forums. Sounds like you just got hammered and forgot you sold it.

Believe it or not, accounts getting hacked seem to be happening a lot these past two weeks from the sound of things. This server NEEDS higher level account protection if it wants to retain its player base. This should be priority number one. Brute Force protection is a good start, but even that is beatable.

Nas already implemented a brute force fix for the account login page, which was the only place on the site missing it. Someone seems to have been getting in with a script that was brute forcing passwords. So if you had a weak, short password, it was easily guessed and they got in. If you have a weak, or short password, change it. My password is over 20 characters long!

Check his fb/twitter! He's even looking into getting stuff back for players, but there are no promises since it seems to have been widespread and may take some time, have complications etc.

Adding some form of 2fa is not as easy as it sounds, so that might only come later.

Add me to the hacked list. Lost all my gil. To some few millions are not a lot, to me it most likely it will be quit or stay.

I know it's a long shot and I understand the position it puts Nas in having to make that sort of call to give a person's belongings back or not. I just really hope so because one of the people I know who were hit by this was basically the LS bank holding items and gil for the entire ls, so it wasn't simply just one person - in this case - affected by this hack. Said person lost upwards of 20 mil in gil and likely around another 30-40 mil more in item value. They're contemplating quitting the server altogether or taking a break at this point.
