Nasomi's vision is a Pre-ToAU FFXI.
Nasomi's vision WAS Pre-ToAU until he changed it over 5 years ago when he allowed ToAU jobs to be unlocked and played. It has since changed due to player demand.

And no, this is implying that just because someone put work into something that's not within the vision, they deserve to keep it. This was recently proven wrong with the future removal of people's charity easy mode ZNM items getting taken away.
These are incomparable circumstances. Dual-boxing has always been allowed within the limitations of the rules.

Leveling a separate character has perks in itself that don't require 2 accounts played at the same time to reap. If you truly believe that someone who leveled another character deserves double the claims, then someone with 5 75 jobs should just have a voke range 5x the distance. This is silly. One human player 'deserves' one player's worth of claims. Those second characters were PLed 1-75 by themselves and were not as difficult to level as their first, and no matter how many level 75 jobs you have, you're only meant to be on one at a time. With a voke cookdown of 30 seconds, able to hold claim on one mob at a time.
You have no argument here. Again, dual-boxing rules have been set forth by Nasomi. No more than two characters out of town and no more than one character HELMing. I also have a second account which I leveled after my main. I did not PL the second account with my main as I had nothing but melee jobs on it so your argument of "were PLed 1-75 by themselves" goes out the window. I imagine the same can be said for others. Also, as it has been pointed out already, others have had dual-box accounts in retail so "you're only meant to be on one at a time" doesn't fly either. There was no rule against it in retail either.

Going by the original rules, dual boxing is not in Nasomi's vision, but it seems like much like him adding ToAU, enough people bitch about it and he'll let things slide.
Whose rules? Retail's or Nasomi's? If you're referring to retail's rules, no such rule existed. If you're going by Nasomi's, no such rule existed. Dual-boxing has always been allowed on Nasomi since the day I started on the server back in December of 2013. The only rules that have been introduced are the ones I've previously mentioned.

Simply, I'm calling out people's idea of how the game is meant to be played. Nasomi recently let you all know that the free items you didn't actually work for isn't in his vision, even though you did it. FFXI was meant to be played in a single session on a single character and that cannot be argued in any way. Has it been in retail? For the most part, back in the era this server is meant to emulate, yes. Has it been since then? No. That's the issue. A game is created and balanced with a certain set of rules in mind, and dual boxing skews all those rules and brings in a bunch of issues that are unintended which is why you cannot log into 2 characters at once without taking advantage of loopholes.
Your biggest blunder is you have an opinion on how the game should be played but you actually believe it to be fact. Yes, the argument can be made that a single player controlling two characters is fine. SE didn't seem to mind seeing as they made no rule against it.

If dual boxing is okay because you 'put in the time to level 2 characters,' why isn't 6-boxing okay? You put in the time to level 6 characters.
Because Nasomi said so. Enough said. Not sure why you keep trying to make this argument.

Let's take poker for example. Is it fair to team up with another player and share cards? Yeah, you both put in the money, together twice as much. But now you can manipulate raises to bully other players out. Now you can count cards much easier. I have an ace and a 2. An ace shows up on the flop. Looking decent. But your second guy you're coordinating with has an Ace and a King. All of a sudden you have an advantage you shouldn't have.
Let's not. Your metaphor is a bad one. You're comparing cheating to not cheating. There is no comparison here. Poker has a strict set of rules that all players must adhere to or they lose. Dual-boxing breaks no rules set forth by either retail or Nasomi.
This entire argument can be summed up in one magical quote:
