I've only just joined Nasomi and have been playing for about 2 weeks now, since the DDoS situation started, nice job getting that worked out by the way. Anyway I currently have 3 - sometimes 4 people playing on Nasomi servers in my house, but lately I've been a bit nervous about the security of our accounts..

This is why... After we installed the update for v20 sometimes (very rarely) when we login with our own independent user names and passwords we would reach the character list to find not our characters but completely different accounts. Now it would mostly be an account to someone in my house, but I've actually had an instance when I was logged into a completely random account, which made me panic and quickly close the game. In all my life of gaming and playing mmo's I've never seen such a... risk or breach?

I really love playing on the Nasomi server's, but something clearly isn't right, it's not something simple like an IP conflict if I somehow access someones account, who has never logged into this PC or had access to my router.

Now this doesn't only apply to my household I've also had a friend in the Nasomi server experience the same thing and it's really freaking me out, it's really something that needs to be acknowledged as it could ruin many player accounts if this happens to someone with bad intentions.

As of today I've started recording my .exe at all times so I can lay down some proof, cause I know how crazy this sounds. I kind of hope it doesn't happen again, but maybe it's for the best.

Personally, I've never logged into a completely random account, just an alt when I selected my main or vice versa. However, I believe this has been an issue that has happened before. I've heard you only see the character screen, but I might've read once or twice about being actually able to log in to that random account completely.

To answer the question, not 100% secure for sure. However, this isn't an issue with the latest launcher, as it is a pre-existing condition.

Oh damn... Has it at least been talked about by any of the mods or Nasomi? It's really something that shouldn't be ignored.

Have logged in to find someone elses character before. Only once out of hundreds of logins, but it happened. I didn't proceed and just closed the game, and relogged in.

I do wonder if anyone has ever had my character show up. It's certainly unsettling knowing it could happen to anyone, at any moment.

It's a known bug. If you login and see someone else's char and try to login it won't let you. Usually happens if your playing and the same people are playing at the same time in your house or of you have 2-3 chars and log them in back to back to quickly. No one can access your account unless you give them your info, even if your character does pop up.

Yep, this bug has existed on nasomi for 5 years now. Itll happen to you all the time with your lan friends, but I havnt had it happen to me with a rando in a long time. I was never able to progress past character select in all instances I tried to.

But there sure have been a lot of "account hackings" lately, so there's cause for concern.
