Hi there

I have a question regarding connecting to the server.
The game worked perfectly on my laptop at home. However currently im at a hospital for 8 days wanting to play when i can. Sadly they have a restricted connection here. Wich means i can youtube/netflix and browse and use apps such as discord. But FFXI (nor de irc chat of nasomi) isnt able to connect. Is there a way for me to connect to the server using a diff port? preferably a redirect of somekind? Or is the information about wich ports nasomi uses availble? Ive tried searching everywhere but couldnt find any results.

Help is much apreciated!

Edit: Will a VPN service perhaps solve this issue?

What step do you actually mean when you say connect? A port issue would only come up on loading into the game, after selecting your character. Also it's important to note that Mordion (the jail zone) would do the same thing (not connect all the way after char select).

If the connection issue is in your launcher, are you not using the latest launcher? It is required, and people seem to often accidentally launch the old launcher even if they grabbed the new one. Check first link in my signature for details.

If the 56xxx range is blocked, you won't be able to play. However, a VPN may work.

Basicly the commandprompt doesnt give me the 1-2 options menu. simply sayd "Could not connect to server" and shuts down. Since im fairly new to the server im guessing Gaol is out of the question lol. Havent misbehaved or broken any rules. What i did notice is that certain apps on my mobile phone couldnt connect either while others did. So it has to be the hospital network thats blocking certain traffic.

Ive ordered and installed a VPN service so gonna test that out first.

fixed it with a VPN free trial service! Back ingame! Thnx again Nabutso!
