Merits: 5/5 Fealty on Nasomi gives a PLD a complete magic shield effect for 3.05mins, or 1.35mins with 1/5 merits. 10 minute recast. On Nasomi, Fealty is a 100% resist rate on all sources of magic damage and enfeebling effects. This is
full on immunity to magic, which you can use
every 10minutes at a
duration of 3.05minutes. To put that into perspective, this is like being able to use the
RUN two-hour (yeah, technically 1hour, but w/e,) every

Job Abilities: Rampart on Nasomi provides essentially the same form of complete magic immunity as Fealty, but it extends to the entire party for a duration of 30seconds. Recast set at 5minutes before merits. Like Fealty, this includes complete protection from enfeebling effects. Due to the incredible buff it has to its overall utility and potency, Rampart is able to act as a crutch on Nasomi where it was never nearly a strategic cornerstone in retail:

These abilities are so overpowered that a PLD need only hit 75, get a handful of merits, and go off to tank knowing Fealty and Rampart will more than compensate for poor support, gear, and/or player ability.
Not meaning to derail this, because I would absolutely love to see my 5/5 in Flashy Shot start working one day soon-- But yeah, PLD needs a Fealty/Rampart fix before we jump the line and start asking for Cover fixes.
