Gonna have to agree with Nab, that if this wasn't just a brute force random account hacking, then you'd see much more established and lucrative targets being targeted, not some n00b and his leaping boots being sold for 200k.
My friend who was targeted has multiple 75's with over 20-30M in items stolen.
Literally, all the good items were taken. It cant be that hard to track down who took the items, where the items are now or gil and how far it has reached.
Multiple characters could be involved, and for one person to have been taken from both accounts, main and alt, seems kind of interesting to investigate.
By chance, though. Or, rather, most likely by whatever they had related to others who lost stuff, if it was from a shared website/service account leak or a 3rd party tool etc.
And yes, of course the person/people stealing the items/gil don't have real characters to give it to, since they're RMT. But the accounts/characters they the profits go to banned for it, and the people losing items/gil get them back, but it takes time for nas to go through and give those items/gil back.
The important thing isn't that though, it's how someone is getting into people's accounts to begin with.

guys im working on a mobile app for nasomi account viewer, just send me your email and then use your nasomi login in the app. nothing bad will happen promise.
edit: for clarity i am neither working on this nor soliciting info, this was a thing that came up several months ago that someone else did. is it related? idk maybe.
Especially annoying since we all joked about how dumb it would be to give such a thing your account info.
