I was in a party in qufim today where 3/6 party members had gimp subjobs. 28whm/1blm, 28war/8whm, 26war/8mnk. At what point did this become socially acceptable? Especially in qufim where it only takes an hour or two to get a job to 10. This isn't a game to be rushed, cutting corners will substantially diminish what you get out of the game. Don't rush it, take your time, do it right.

I don't think this is an elitist attitude, either. "But i just want to get it to 30" isn't a valid excuse to have subpar party performance. Just like the gimp gear thread, it's the same thing. If you're on a roll and you accidently outlevel your sj during the course of 1-2 days, it shouldn't drop more than 1-2 levels or be entirely wrong. I don't know how current retail/ffxiv is, but the spells, abilities, and stats you miss out on are considerable.

When your party members are prepared and ready to maximize their jobs, but others are not making the effort, it's frustrating and the result is less than optimal xp, added death, and an all around mediocre party experience.

No shame in leaving a bad party. Just be polite and don’t waste your time

It becomes acceptable when people don't say anything and let it slide. People are way too nice and push overs on this server. That shit has to stop. People use their lvl 1 starter gear in their lvl 30s as well.
