You can't have a job get fixed and then demand they get an out of era ability as compensation.

Then again, DRKs can still cast Dread Spikes last I checked.

It's nice to not have a broken lvl85 pet, but it's not so cool to take a job and make it retail accurate because it was too good in the past

FTFY

bst was my retail main, with a good tp/ws set it could destroy stuff with snarl.
I agree that bst uses to not charm anything in nasomi, but those adjustments are not too "retail accurate"

Which parts aren't retail accurate? I had friends on retail with BST75 only(pre-ToAU) and it's closer now than it's ever been.

Geez, a lot people talk a lot of shit on the FREE built game they get to play...

No it’s not perfect, but show a little appreciation or tact

Don't forget that BST can charm plenty of things it's not supposed to.

Actually.. Not sure if that's sarcasm or not, but BST can no longer charm any of that. Well, Malboro/Wyverns/Hippos. Can't jump into Dynamis to see.

I hope the “unintended consequences from today’s maintenance” is still, somehow, BST needing nerfed more.

I think it would be better for the server if we avoided having any jobs that are pure trash. Even if it means being inaccurate relative to this retail era.

Well, definitely reward was not 3 min recast, reward with zeta healed up to 1.5k hp with good gear.
Pets used to heal up when you had them on "Stay", and Snarl helped the bst doing damage and getting the pet with extra emty.

I mean, bst definitely needed to be adjusted and some things needed to be done, having it gimped for the sake of it feels like a cheap measure to make people stop playing the job.

Agreed. Snarl would make it much better imo even with the 're-align' to original retail standards and far from OP at the very least.

As it stands, no point in playing it again except for niche things and maybe some ksnm 30... which I guess is what all non-BST players were so hopeful to see. It's good for people to experience a truly difficult job to solo for no other reason than getting better at not dieing and hate management.

Excited to see all of the non era stuff get removed too (although I won't hold my breath as these modifications took 2+ years with little to no outline of the changes being made until recently) .. I'd rather it be closer to the original experience. Get rid of akamochi and marinara pizza so people have to balance accuracy and attack in parties again as well instead of just easy mode-ing both in one food.

Also while we're at it, the mountain climb in Attohwa Chasm ... a little too easy don't ya think? Just a few more items to add to the 'make retail great again' experience!

Although actually I do agree. 100% retail accurate would be a good thing.
