No one was making 100k/hr on black sole a few months back I was doing that fishing back then and got 50k/hr if I was LUCKY. I timed my time out there loads to find the optimal things to fish and black sole was averaging about 38k/hr for me hense why I stopped, so I doubt anything has changed.

Yeah, 40-50k/hr sounds about right, just depends on how lucky you get with swords, empty casts/etc. You might try one of the other zones and see if you have better luck. I’m still partial to Sauromugue myself.

Also, I haven’t done the analysis on my own to 100% confirm but I’m pretty sure that the bite rate cap for any single fish is only 45%, so when you’re targeting a single fish like Sole you’re going to miss them at least half the time on average (and I’m pretty sure their bite rate is a chunk under 45% anyway). Nashmau was great in this regard, in that pretty much anytime you didn’t hook ahtapots you were at least hooking mercanbaligi. Still, though, the Gil/hr wasn’t overwhelmingly larger or anything.

You're confusing difficulty with a something that's just extending the time until you can actually play the game again.

I hope there wasn't another fishing nerf AGAIN, for god sakes stop nerfing everything, especially something that people have worked there asses off for.
Yes it is easy to lvl fishing but the time it takes is pretty long. So tired of good reasonable stuff being destroyed in the game.

Literally every fisherman I asked a few months back when I was lvl'g fishing would tell me they made 90-100k hour. When it was really 50-60k a hour which is great but now its more like 25-35k hour it's beyond average now, people farming damn silk threads or beehive chips can make as much as fishermen.

Sounds like you need something to supplement your income. Might I suggest leveling cooking and making your own Sushi?

Fishing has been gutted since it was first implemented and I'd love for their to be some tangible benefit to it. But alas with the proliferation of fishbots we will never see something like Hakuryu in the game again.

if all the ppl that fish stop fishing and go farm mobs/camp nms , mining , craft , that would hurt the nonfishers , u dont want 30 players camping every NM right ? u dont want 3 parties camping mining points fighting each other, and u dont want 20 thfs killing w/e mobs u used to farm , nor want 50 new crafters on your crafting lowering the prices of everything , right?

I dunno why you even replied to me with this, when I... one of those fisherman is telling you that you were lied to and gave you actual numbers from back then. Yes some people would make 50-60k every so often when they were LUCKY but I’m sorry to say, that wasn’t the norm.

they told you what they made, I doubt they told you where they made it. When I was making 50-60K/hr vendoring fish it was off the ferry, or in Nashmau. Both if those sources have been nerfed to at or below black sole and Mythril Sword levels. They also probably didnt tell you exactly what they were doing with the fish they caught. There are a few that can be caught and slowly auctioned off. A 5 to 10 k bump from the AH now & then can snowball and add up.

Even now I could probably make more than 35-40k/hr fishing technically. But by the time you factor in travel time and dealing with server hassles, it really isn't that much better than Black Sole and swords. So, I stick to qufim and do what I can with what I have.

That said, I've not noticed a difference in per hour profit in qufim. It's the same now as it has been for a while.
