Still missing the point..... No, but that seems like horrible game design to me. Again, I was suggesting the change to give newer players a chance with low lvl content on a more balanced field. Sadly, it is extremely difficult to compete in said content because of the current system leaving farming and bcnm the most realistic approach. That may be the intention idk honestly.

Also, the more I explore this server it has become quite clear Nasomi has a monumental task of things to do that are considerably more important than this topic lol. I am fully aware that this issue isn't in the solar system of his brain on the To-Do list lol. I'm am not on a crusade to change anything. My question has been answered. I post now to present my argument to others wishing to present theirs.

This entire thread is because of someone with an inferiority complex who's entirely capable of camping the things he wants. But he doesn't, and instead wastes time on the forum, proclaiming to everyone how he's not good at claiming NMs.

Camping NMs is hard. If you can't do it or don't like it, farm and buy the item. No one's going to change the system because of your ineptitude. Solo THF to 45 and camp any of the NMs you mentioned here easily. Lvl 75s don't have any kind of obscene advantage over you, and these aren't even especially expensive items in the first place.

This is tedious reading, but also entertaining. So feel free to continue, but I think it's clear the majority don't really see things your way.

I can’t believe this thread is still going on. OP your opinion is in the minority. Beyond that point, it’s a private server and the guy who runs it has already addressed why he prefers it to be the way it is. It was his conscious decision. Feel free to start your own private server using your own resources and then you can adjust the game mechanics how you see fit. Beyond that, all you are doing is being annoying. The game- content, gear etc.- is easily accessible to anyone with even a minor level of perseverance.

It's fine as is, though I do find it funny that you think low level content like LL would only be camped by low levels if suddenly made r/ex as if everyone's first job would require the boots. Make it r/ex and you'll still be camping against 75's, it won't change anything.

Yeah, do this. There was a lvl 30 something in my LS who wanted the emperor pin and was camping it. I decided to roll out and help him and we took separate positions. We were competing against a single 75 RNG at the time, but within 20 mins my LS mate had the claim and ended up getting the pin. Now he has the pin.

Y'know, plus it would be kind of dumb to make the regular NM drops rare/ex. If someone's willing to sit out there and camp them for however long and they get the drop they ought to be able to sell it as opposed to just rolling up into a bcnm knowing exactly what to do and executing it X number of times until you get the drop.
