I really don't understand why OWNMs are still a thing when more than half of the BCNMs are finally working -- maybe not 100% 1:1, but they're THERE, especially when the main purpose of OWNMs were to be a temporary replacement for when BCNMs were still broken.
I also don't understand why Nasomi still chooses to keep them around, they're free items for groups and the economy who do can do them routinely, with no downsides (failing to kill them/wiping is not a downside) while BCNMs/KSNMs are a seal sink/dump, which is NEVER a bad thing, while also requiring teamwork. Can't do the BCNM/KSNM? Farm seals.
As a host or creator of the game, you want players to USE their resources, not hoard them. You want to find a way for players to sink their resources on. As a server progresses and ages, this becomes more problematic, especially if these resources have been accumulated to very high amounts.
Maybe if OWNMs were finally removed, players could finally be forced to do BCNMs/KSNMs and see which ones work and are still broken, so they can complain about it and get it fixed.Also, maybe fix NMs to actually be lottery with actual random time variables or fix them to have proper spawn conditions instead of the current, predictable, mechanics that were just pulled from a certain site as a base. Some NMs are timed pops when they shouldn't be.Example: For the longest time on this server, Leaping Lizzy almost always respawns 1 hour after its death, the FFXI wiki lists it as early as 5 minutes to "several hours" -- because we don't know what "several hours" means, you can set its window for respawn between 5 minutes to maybe 3 hours. Once the time has been randomly chosen and after that alloted time has passed, only now it can respawn after killing PHs. Do it on ALL appropriate NMs.
We need LESS standalone custom content with official content and more custom content added to official content. How about putting the Goblin Bag 75/80 items to BCNMs/KSNMs instead of the rumored OWNMs?
White Coney is the only good idea that's ever come to this server, new "boss" NM to camp and compete over that drops out of era content at reasonable drop rates. If it still awards 1 merit and 50K to the alliance per kill, that should be removed entirely. Maybe fix the actual White and Black Coney to spawn while you're at it.
