Im just sitting here waiting for BCNM60, Brothers D'aurphe top work so I can spam 8 stacks of seals on it for Ebow/Vail's bow. Idc which. But in the week it took me to farm 1 of the 3 mil i need. The price rose to 4 mil ;_;

If you make them all r/e then camping the NMs is going to be way easier than the BCNMs. Serious NM campers will leave, and eventually getting that r/e item is just going to be a matter of standing around killing PH for a few hours, because you're not camping against anyone.

As a host or creator of the game, you want players to USE their resources, not hoard them. You want to find a way for players to sink their resources on. As a server progresses and ages, this becomes more problematic, especially if these resources have been accumulated to very high amounts.

Maybe if OWNMs were finally removed, players could finally be forced to do BCNMs/KSNMs and see which ones work and are still broken, so they can complain about it and get it fixed.
Also, maybe fix NMs to actually be lottery with actual random time variables or fix them to have proper spawn conditions instead of the current, predictable, mechanics that were just pulled from a certain site as a base. Some NMs are timed pops when they shouldn't be.

Example: For the longest time on this server, Leaping Lizzy almost always respawns 1 hour after its death, the FFXI wiki lists it as early as 5 minutes to "several hours" -- because we don't know what "several hours" means, you can set its window for respawn between 5 minutes to maybe 3 hours. Once the time has been randomly chosen and after that alloted time has passed, only now it can respawn after killing PHs. Do it on ALL appropriate NMs.

We need LESS standalone custom content with official content and more custom content added to official content. How about putting the Goblin Bag 75/80 items to BCNMs/KSNMs instead of the rumored OWNMs?

White Coney is the only good idea that's ever come to this server, new "boss" NM to camp and compete over that drops out of era content at reasonable drop rates. If it still awards 1 merit and 50K to the alliance per kill, that should be removed entirely. Maybe fix the actual White and Black Coney to spawn while you're at it.


LL and VE and all of the other PH NMs can certainly go over the 1 hour respawn window. I've got several dozen VE and Lizzy claims under my belt, and many of them were closer to 2hrs than they were 1hr, and several were 3hr later. Most spawn around the hour mark, to be sure, but it's not like they never go for several hours.

OWNMs are a 12 hour respawn in the open world, so the moderating factor there is there's not very many of them you can kill on any given day, and there is competition for the lucrative ones. How many times per day to you think UO is run vs. the Ordelle's Cave OWNM?

OWNMs aren't incredibly difficult content by any stretch of the imagination, but they're harder than BCNMs, the frequency at which they can be done is low, and there's competition for the ones you would want to do, meaning you cannot guarantee doing them if you want to without a significant amount of effort.

Why is White Coney good if custom content is bad? Why do you think that adding size=58350984352098 to your post makes your points more valid?
