Alrighty, so I think I've got a bug here? Right now in Castle Ozt the one to Mee Deggi refuses to leave me alone. Going from Domi I had a larva on me and suddenly it attacked, which it hasn't before. Okay, cool.. It links to random stuff? That's fine.

Now I zoned, came back in and it'll aggro me from 15ish off sound. Aggros every time I get near it, regardless of how I approach, even with oils. lol

Ah, FFS. I guess that was it. Thanks. Lol I thought they turned off aggro in general after the last patch.

Any reason he chose this? I really can't understand it at all. It's not like it's a huge impact I guess but these things agroing at all leaves them open to exploitation and also being used by butt hurt people to attempt to crash zones while maintaining a plausible "oops" excuse.

Does anyone have more info on how to cause OWNM crashes? Nas is currently trying to reproduce it.

1) Aggro OWNM and get level synced
2) Run to zone line and zone out, zone with ownm in it will crash

I couldn't tell you any other specific factors that lead to a crash. It just has to do with the moment the ownm loses agro entirely. I've seen it crash from people wiping and from zoning. It's not 100% obviously. Maybe 15-20% chance. That's not based on any tests or anything just what I've seen.

If you aggro the ownm and bring it just to the edge of zone and zone as it's walking to you it has a pretty high chance of crashing the zone. A buddy of mine who was mining said when he aggros the ownm near the mining spot and zones it, it crashes like 50% of the time and the zone resets. It's gotta be something with the loss of aggro away from it's spawn spot. The zone has crashed from a full party wipe as well. Hope this helps a little

I'd say it seems more akin to the OWNM not being able to act on the current target, either from zoning or dying. You see this when a person dying crashes the zone, it looks as if the OWNM trys to do one more action on the target, can't and then that causes the crash. So I think as long as the OWNM switches targets before it trys to act on the dead target, you're fine. Which is why Aeroo claims it only reall happens about 20% of the time (if that). So perhaps test what exactly is happening right after death or zone that is making the OWNM to crash. Does having a null target while trying to cast a spell create a crash? Or the initial target of a TP move being dead cause a crash? I'd start there.

Yeah that could be it. Crashes happen quite frequently because of that. Some people got real mad in Garlaige lul
