Build TP and then only move out to optimal range for WS or for Barrage etc? The distance for what used to be 100% damage isn't very small. You just can't melee and get full damage anymore, and this was especially important when nas found a bug with weapon delay that would have caused RNGs to build a ton more TP from meleeing.



I will straight qoute you and Nasomi on the last Q&A stating the Ranged nerf is not being done. Also no one gives a damn about the melee aspect of getting TP its the fact that 1 WS from Rng and Rng is tanking and never able to get back to that stupid "optimal range" for WS damage. With this Update Rng has Use on only 1 NM on server "white coney"

Depending on how substantial this "bonus" is, could the rngs shed DD gear in favor of enmity minus?

Timing the weaponskill to take out the last chunk of the mob's HP could also avoid ripping hate perhaps...

has anyone mentioned ranged attacks might be crashing zones? i just tried pulling something with throwing and the zone i was in went down

I'd call missing 100% of Ranged Weaponskills a pretty big nerf.

So gimp myself because Nasomi introduced a change that wasn't needed. Everything wasn't being RNG burned like it was at the time on retail. It was one of the easiest jobs to gear/level and do sufficient damage endgame in the early days of FFXI before the range nerf was introduced. Anybody who did Sky/Kings during this time can verify this statement.
