I just used sneak and invisiblity…and I got 5 min sneak an 2 minutes invisibility... and it goes up and down... sometimes I get 1 minute on both magics.. Also I keep disconnecting from the server...while playing. If there is something I can do to my laptop? I turn shadows off...but no change. I can't even go into a party for I'm afraid to disconnect while playing. I really love this game, can someone help me?

I don't get your anger over this at all. This is how it worked in era, even with max enhancing skill or whatever back in the day the amount was pretty random... and the old long static delays just made navigating places like sky a cakewalk, mages never needed silent oils, moving groups of lazy/cheap players through difficult areas was easy. One of the great things about this game imo is that there are threats and tension when you're traveling, unlike something like WoW or FFXIV where the biggest threat you'll face on the way anywhere is some random enemy that's chained to the ground like the dog from Looney Toons hitting you from behind and giving you a speed debuff as you autorun your way from the fast travel point.

the 8 min versions were a nice QoL improvement. Why do we feel the need to subject ourselves to some of the most unpopular "era" aspects?

Because the people that nas actually listens to are done with the majority of running around content now?

Having something like more storage than back in the day are more like QoL improvements, things like Mog Wardrobe or sneak/invis which trivialize moving large groups through dangerous zones are not.

Unless the only thing you do are dynamis/limbus/sea, you're still doing a lot of running around worrying with sneak invis. Basically all king/wyrm camps require hoofing it through some zone where things can aggro you. This is a change that will end up impacting most people.

plays on server aiming for a classic 75 era feel, gripes about changes which make the game feel more like it did in 75 era.
Great reply, very valid points!

The whole point is it requires more group cohesion or more economic interaction for buying oils etc. Nas has made clear in his streams that he doesn't like easy transportation because it reduces feeling of the adventure. I'm fine with this change tbh, and if it makes it so that oils/powders aren't just trash compared to sneak/invis all the better. Would you support home point warps here? The reason I play here is because it's not cakewalk travel, cakewalk exp, etc.

The change only feels bad because we've gotten used to 8 minutes. That'll pass.

I just wish I wasnt getting 30-40 seconds on my alt. Is it enhancing skill related? Is /whm no good for sneak invis?
