Your advice is not a 3rd response , it’s basically choice one. Be butthurt and do nothing proactive. It’s shit advice that leads to people quitting because they never develop any level of self- sufficiency. I do not have a joy toy but have tanked that fight on my THF for at least 4 people to get theirs. Know what all those people had in common? They had ToD and popped the mob. The advice I gave was good advice even if it maybe made the OP “feel bad” for a moment. Your advice let’s him retaliate and feel self-righteous for a moment, but it doesn’t get him any closer to his goals unless someone carries him. That’s shitty advice.

Edit: one of the people I tanked it for I basically didn’t know, LS member I barely knew asked me to help someone I didn’t know. I did because they had it popped. Another guy I helped was in my LS and I actively disliked him. But no one else would help him and he had it popped. So I helped him. Why? Because they were proactive and did their part. That’s all I was saying to OP. You guys get offended so easily that you can’t get out of your own way.

I will tell the OP my own personal story from retail, and perhaps after hearing evidence from people that actually obtained the weapon, he might be swayed into the best course of action.

I was a fresh level 75 RDM, and of course like every RDM's dream I wanted the famous Joyeuse. I traveled down to SSG, curious about how to get to spawn point, see how hard the mobs were to solo, maybe even grab a ToD and watch experienced players do the fight... learn some tips.

Around the same time I was also canvasing my LS, and seeing who might be interested in helping or obtaining a Joy. Very quickly found a fellow RDM who wanted it badly (who also played NIN and THF), and a BRD who said he would be down to help. We decided we'd make a little core group, and then I focused my efforts on finding out the ToD, and doing the work on popping Charby.

Long story short, we easily smashed the NM with our optimal threesome, went on to hold that ToD for weeks, sometimes setting the alarm clock for 4am just to come pop and kill him again, and in the end not only got Joys for us 3, but an additional 4 LS members.

You might not think it, but people here ARE trying to help, help you out with important info. Camp the area, kill the PHs and try to pop him, and get the ToD. Once you've done that and shown others that you are serious, you'll be surprised how fast people respond and come out to help kill. If you do it backwards, begging for the help of long camping without any of your own effort contributed beforehand, your chances of one day seeing Joyeuse in your hand is greatly lowered. Up to you bro
