Level THF first. It's an investment.

Level a THF, level an alt, mine with your mage alt (sneak+invis earlier) and farm with your THF main. Make friends with the miners in both Attohwa Chasm and Maze of Shakhrami. Mining can be incredibly good gil, after the first dozen stacks it pays for itself with vendor items, and beyond that, you can make a million gil a day if you're lucky. Mining sucks and is boring, but mining while you're soloing another job and making experience/gil on that job also, and suddenly it feels very worthwhile.

Basically to summarize, A LOT of people dualbox on this server, therefore the value of gil in a sense is reduced because of those who are plowing through content at twice the rate as others. Sadly this is the reality of the server, and something to take into account when seeing what potential gil there is to be made out there.

In retail, fishing to max level was pretty difficult to do, there were very few high level fisherman on a percentage basis. It took forever. In turn, you could fish up some pretty good stuff that vendored well and since there were such few fisherman, they actually sold really high on AH.

On Nasomi, you can level your fishing to 70-100 in a few days and sit there all day fishing up and vendoring shit contributing in absolutely no way to the economy except dumping loads and loads of new gil into the system which is why prices are inflating so heavily. With a few days of work, you can make more money than almost anything else an average player can do solo, and it takes no concentration at all, you can do it while doing almost anything else. In era retail, if you took a 6 month break from the game, you'd come back and your gil would have depreciated in value a bit, on Nasomi, if you take a 6 month break, your gil will be worth almost nothing

Nasomi doesn't wanna change it because "you can do it in retail too," but ignores how much easier it is to level fishing here. It's a joke, it's an exploit (within the rules), so take advantage of it before someone with half a brain figures out how much it fucks the server up lol

People bitch about fishing dumping new gil into the economy and state it's so much easier here and needs to be fixed, because there are so many more people fishing and causing inflation, but they forget the other half.

Crafting to 60 is way easier here too. And most crafters buy some of their supply from guild npcs or regional vendors.

While I can only speak for myself. People reported the average Fisher brings in ~40-60k an hour in new gil. On my mule, I remove 30-40k an hour crafting. And I'm no where near 100.

There is a balance. If inflation was as bad as you say, PCC wouldn't have stayed in the ballpark of 3M as it has over the past 6 months.

You say fishing takes a few days to hit cap, yet even though I've fished for an average of 10 hours a week, for the past few weeks, my fishing skill is only at 22.9. (As of this post).

If it takes only a few days, then you have to be botting it 24/7. No way you will hit cap with a few days. It takes at least 20 days if not more.

Not even botting can make it happen in 24 hours. Two days is just plain hyperbole, but there is a kernel of truth there. To the successful fisher, three weeks is no different from a few days. If you can't do that, then fishing is going to be an unhappy grind. Get a TV streaming subscription (e.g., Netflix, Hulu), watch a few series from beginning to end, and fish like it is your labor of love and the gil is the bonus.

If it weren't for our fishers, Nasomi's economy would implode.

I only have Friday/Saturday to actually level any jobs since those are the only 2 days I don't work. the others I spend a few hours a day leveling fishing, and it's a slow grind. I enjoy fishing, but I can't sit there for 6-8 hours a night for 2 levels of fishing.

You said 20 days. Good guess. That's close to the solid three weeks it took me to get to 76.
