If its been ready for months? Then get it out to people? I mean, at least so those who don't have trouble with zoning can at least not smash their head into their desk @ HNMs.

That is extremely frustrating stuff to hear nabutso. We had lag essentially fixed and a ToAU roadmap and a bright looking future for the server but instead of working on those things, we've gotten job nerfs and qol downgrades. And our ToAU roadmap so far has amounted to like 10 cut scenes and xp camps. No content at all. And now the current content, hnms, is pretty screwed if they fall into prime time. I guess that's what Xi is and always will be, love and frustration. But priorities man, I wish he didn't get sidetracked so easily.

I think its more akin to what Tex said earlier, we look at it as sidetracking, I honestly think there's more hands in this than he cares to admit, so he works on his side projects while other things get done. Honestly, this is the only rational explanation for why things get distributed in the manner and order in which they do.

A lot of people camp at DA to basically wait to get their chance a nidhogg. I for one have almost a 4+ minute delay. When others are lagging and saying oh he's at 8%, on my screen he's at 22%. It just makes me wonder when I do get a niddy, will this same situation occur?

All the hours putting in camping, waiting to get a claim on a nidhogg to only lose it due to a 5 minute delay would turn me off to playing the game. It was about 4 months ago when my LS had nidhogg claimed and it lagged pretty bad even then. The zone ended up crashing, restarted my client only to come back to 10 people in the zone and another Ls getting the claim.

So much fun...

We figured out how to deal with the lag and have no issues. Complained about it for months, realized we had to figure out how to deal with aside of it being fixed. We adapted. I used to get the 2+ minute lag also.

Edit: reason for my post wasn't to brag. It was to point out there is a solution, just have to figure it out.

In claiming no, just fighting after claim. It's still an incredibly large pain in the ass but it's better than dealing with the lag. It's also a completely rules compliant solution, has nothing to do with .dats or anything like that. Literally can do it in menus in game, there's your one and only tip.
