Can't we just all agree to PM Nasomi about adding Einherjar?

How about we all agree to bring a maximum of 12 characters per linkshell into the Aery.

i think this is the most funny suggestion.

Just never going to happen. People struggle with non-laggy Nidhoggs as it already is. Now add a lag factor to it, the chances significantly go up that groups are going to wipe or that the zone becomes so unstable that the zone crashes causing the HNM to exchange hands.

It is never going to change until he can figure out how to schedule packets more efficiently. It is best to remember that Nasomi inherited this mess, he did not create it. This issue has only arisen because it needed a certain population to be present at these camps for this problem to be unearthed.

In short, and I 100% agree, we continue with status quo.... and anyone that just hates the lag stops camping HNMs.... and then that helps with the lag.

Yep. You say it is never going to happen. That just tells us that the status quo isn't bad enough to motivate linkshells to cooperate. If Fafhogs were disappearing without drops, I guarantee that people would be responding differently. I would say that the relevant thing to discuss here is whether the situation is exigent enough to motivate people like Chess to stop being Cluster Bs. The theory can be worked out. It is the existence of human fallibility that is producing so much skepticism.

And if anyone still thinks that leadership is the same thing as authority and that sustainable change can be made behind closed doors, look to the RNG nerf. That wasn't leadership.

Not only is it human fallibility that is in factor here, but the likelihood that a certain portion of the population will be alienated and/or put at a disadvantage whenever a conclusion is made. All it takes for is those who are already in a low probability situation (camping kings) to be told that their odds now are even lower due to these set rules, for it all to go up in flames. Too many scenarios, too many rule addendums, too many asterisks at the end of the fine print. You'll end up with the declaration of independence after all is said and done, and no one will want to read it all or will feign ignorance when it doesnt swing their way.

or like.. literally we spend hours doing this, and then 4 days later a new end game LS is created who has no interest in what others agreed to.

There isn't really an enforceable outcome to it.

I'll just keep hoping Nas fixes the lag again, and in the meantime hoping that the lag makes someone think it's not worth going.

That would be the inevitable outcome....
Linkshell leaders don't have the power to force people to stay out of camps, or not login. While the idea has it's noble purpose, if linkshells only bring their 18 to each camp, the other 20-30 are going to get tired of being asked to not come, and just go make their own linkshell and come anyways. There's no way to combat individualism. SE had the same problem on some of the retail servers, and realized they couldn't do anything about it. That was what began the pop item talk. Nasomi said he's never gonna do that though, so unfortunately the lag will keep getting worse until he can work out a miracle cure with packets, or so many get the loot that people start falling out of the camps (not likely to happen in the next couple of years). Being willing to put up with those frustrations has always been a key ingredient to nasomi HNM, and the main reason some people don't even bother.

If you're interested in discussing the issue with land king lag please PM or send a tell in game with the names of leader/sacks and LS association. We can set up a time everyone can get together and talk.

We need everyone to co-operate for this to become a reality, as tough as that may be sometimes. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

Nah.

I for one do not fear communication. Also kinda bullish for ts to say it will never happen. Maybe some of these groups could learn to not respond to a laggy zone by doing everything possible to crash the zone?

I don't fear communication. I do, however, think wasting my finite team on the game is a weird thing to do on purpose.

and yeah... any idea that is too complicated to um.. type? is too complicated to succeed.
