I do agree in the KISS principle for something like this but I still wouldn't trust any constructive discussion to happen here on the forums so I can understand if he's being hesitant to post the "idea". Would be interesting to see if anything comes from this though!

I guess their point is, if it can't be universally agreed to and discussed on the forums, then how will it ever be universally accepted at a king camp? King camps are the in game equivalent of a public forum and if this plan were to work, I believe it should be discussed with the masses first.

the people on the forums that aren't current leaders, are possible leaders in the future. Spending time discussing something that can't sustain public ridicule isn't a viable option.

Flipside to that is to get the "idea" fully developed prior to releasing it to everyone so as to not get it shot down before it even had a chance. That way when it's introduced to these future leaders it's an established and agreed upon plan among the current endgame leadership and might stand a better chance to sustain. Though as you said earlier if he already has the plan fully developed and no deviation will happen (doubtful) then it makes sense to post.

It's never fully developed. It's being developed with a current group of people that apply to a different group of people, and that group of people it applies to and is expected to follow it is... is ever changing.

Do what we all did on retail... /acmd and warp. Think a groups gonna wipe? Escape and random to see who goes back in. Lag be gone.

Not sure what server you were on but no way in hell on ours during retail days, would the JP and NA shells /random and give away the NM to the winner <_<

Our recent accomplishments

Siren had a similar situation early on with the big JP/NA shells when a LS was wiping. Then other LS started popping up and not following the gentlemen's agreement. This is why these types of things will never work long term.
