Comp idea is thf and blm. Assuming an ES bind strategy and thf/nin tanking with shadows and bloody bolts.

I doubt bloody bolts would keep you alive long enough. Even if you do live, I think your greater risk is actually just running out of time.

it's lvl20, it would be easy enough to lvl up BST and/or SMN to duo.

so ya its duoable. and its lvl 30 not 20.

bloody bolts are highly unreliable since the ranged nerf

So you ES bind one. That'll last maybe a minute if you're lucky. By this time, the THF will have the first lizard at around 85% if you're lucky. Then what do you do?

Regular bind will be unreliable and 30 BLM would not have gravity, shadows nor stoneskin. I mean sure you could /nin, but if you think a THF can solo one, why not just double THF? At least then you could shoot each others mob to avoid the ranged nerf, lmao.

I don't personally think a THF could solo one, they are quite accurate if I recall and have some nasty tp moves, it takes careful hate control with 2 players to stay on top of it.

Can build tp on thf outside the hut, starting with 3000 SA fast blade does pretty good intial dmg. After that you'll have a hard time
1. Thf will need to get aggro off the blm otherwise you'll spend ur time just chasing the lizzy around (bind will build aggro pretty quick)

2. Can the blm survive at the start long enough for thf to lineup an initial SA fast blade?

3. Miss the turn away on 1 baleful gaze and it's pretty much over.

4. I imagine Blm will need to be /nin, if so who will silena / poisona the Thf?

5. As mentioned before, don't count on bloody bolt procs.... Especially not pre-40

Is the ranged attack nerf actually that bad? Bind generates 640 VE which, at a decay rate of 60/sec, should result in effectively 0 hate after about 11 seconds.

Assuming the mobs are not true sound, THF can use a silent oil at the start to get into position to open the fight with SA + WS. They can then tank both mobs with Perfect Dodge for a while before the BLM would need to ES + Bind the second lizard. BLM could chain nuke the first lizard to take hate off THF to enable additional SA and shadow recast opportunities.

True, and I seem to recall that move having a particularly narrow window to avoid it.

If you are a caster of any type, you should probably be carrying a stack of Echo Drops at all times. Antidotes are cheap and readily available as well. Always a good policy to bring proper food, meds, and hp/mp drinks to challenging fights.

Healing would probably be the biggest issue from what I can see. Even assuming perfect hate trading/shadow upkeep, lizards have some tp moves that would still cause problems. Regen drinks and a few Hi-Potions would almost certainly be needed with this setup.

Sounds like it could be a fun little challenge though. :)

Yeah, Seijurohiko. It is the melee-range nerf to rACC that does it. Hard. You can even see the problem on EP. Been dealing with this while post-nerf-exping my 63rng to 72 so far.
