For any DD class that's not tanking, MNK-WAR-SAM, is it a huge detriment to your merit party by coming /DRG to utilize a Wyvern Earring? (+5% haste when subbing DRG)

Places where you can get 1-shotted, I understand /NIN is key, but in merit parties, various HNMs and other places like Sky and maybe Sea, is it frowned upon or put too much stress on the healer? Will it make you an MP sponge and mess up timing's with Convert forcing unnecessary rests/breaks in chains?

I feel like everyone is going to tell you to change to /NIN but wanting to know more ppls opinions...

If you're going /DRG just go /SAM or /WAR. Those will give you way more benefits than 5% Haste will.

I've toyed around with NIN/DRG, but I'm not sure it's better than just subbing WAR.

What if you're WAR main? I understand SAM/WAR but what is the major benefit? The 10% Double Attack?

I mean Double Attack is just one trait /WAR gives you. You're missing Attack Bonus, Defense Bonus, Max HP Boost as well as Job Abilities Berserk, Defender and Warcry. /DRG gives Accuracy Bonus, Jumps and Wyvern Earrinng.

If you can't see how all those factors will beat 5% haste+jumps, go out and do some testing.

Was going to post this, its really only viable for SAM because any other 2 hander is better off subbing sam for hasso (5% JA haste, 5 str and acc) as well as meditate, store tp and seigan + thirdeye.

Might have a case for it on monk if you dont have a black belt, would have to math out brown belt /war vs /drg. And nin/drg does well at things like WC but in a merit PT people are probably going to want you to be the first voke on nin lol.
