You can't add friends right?

The only way to really interact with people is linkshell I assume?

I wanted to make sure. I bought a Journal at the store and started writing down names of people I met so I can test waters and attempt to whisper throughout the day but if there is a way to add people.

Oh thanks. I did run into some people who already LOL me for not having dem crystal when I was leveling in dunes...(was missing subjob at the time and I had tried earlier but was slaughtered by goblins. ) But I did expect this considering since I'm new I'm low on gil/gimp so I can't have access to spells like they wanted me to have.

Luckily I have been leveling in the tombs and got bat wings to trade in for 200g each and now have some gear and spells lined up.
