Beyond what you guys are talking about, there's people at nearly every interval that just hate making gil. Especially when the economy is slow. . you'd think people would be less likely to undercut by large amounts to maximize profit per sale, because you can't move infinite, or even large, volumes of gear synths right now. You could easily undercut by intervals of less than 1k on nearly any intelligently priced item - but I see people dropping items that sell in the 60-120k range by 5k-15k gil a pop and the markets recover, if they ever do [hint: they're not right now], incredibly slowly. Then the NQs tank as they just want to dump inventory, and it becomes a shit market in general.
It's actual stupidity.
