I understand why he did the update. I am only finishing my RNG to level 70 so I can do the maat fight then switch back to COR. RNG is a huge liability in a party. You cant do the increased damage in the sweet spot because you pull the mob with any of your useful moves. The only party setup that really works is when you have a THF and a PLD. If the pld can get Trick attack onto him then you can usually open up and actually do the damage that you have potential to do. Any other setup you basically have to go at about 60-70% because you pull the mob across the map.

I think if we keep the update like it is then just give RNGs an enmity- bonus in the sweet spot so you don't piss off the party every few fights as they have to run across the map.

Regardless, 7 more levels and im done with RNG after the maat fight until something is done. I hate annoying people in parties

Well that makes 3 people involved with the server, Nas, Nabutso, yourself.

RNG Maat is absurdly hard now because he comes into melee range, good luck with that.

Must've struck a nerve. I was only pointing out the difficulty of RNG Maat now as well as wondering how someone can understand why this update came. For a job that wasn't really played in endgame except for a few fights, as well as being good in exp, why do you feel it needed to be changed on a core level?

Good luck with Maat. Send that VHS so I can dust off my VCR.

Just letting you guys know that Maat is still easy. 1/1 on it last week. Get a blink band, opo opo necklace, ic wing, and pot+1 for your food. Sharpshot->WS->Ic wing->WS->Barrage/2 hour to finish. I took one hit after he ate the band.
But yeah, ranger does suck dick at the moment, not disagreeing with that. RIP my dudes out there with anni/yoichi

Blink Band can't go on the AH so if you can't get one from a bazaar you gotta hunt down someone to make one. You'll spend more effort on that than most jobs do on the maat fight itself. It was also totally doable without blink band or stoneskin torque pre-nerf.
