Sounds like how he backstabbed his old best bud Octonolen and stole all his valuable HQ gear around the time TS was formed. He then ignored Octo for months when he tried to get his stuff back before eventually giving up and quitting for good. Good ole Baldr. You guys had no warning about how he really was at all.

Edit: This is why you never share your account info with anyone you can't easily go punch in the face. Better yet, never share it at all.

There was a time back in 2014 when I considered Baldr a really great guy and a good player. I almost suspect someone took over his account sometime after I quit because he completely changed sometime after I quit playing the first time. Either that or he stopped taking his meds and snapped. He's gone now so it doesn't matter.

Considering I heard about it from Octo and was trying to help him with it while he attempted to recoup his stuff, I'm pretty sure it wasn't.

I'd love for that to actually be Baldr on Eden, but... I'm pretty sure it's not, unfortunately.

Also, that tale of Octo and Baldr has been told quite a few times on this server and it seems to be twisted more each time I hear it. I spoke with Octo a bit when I first started here. Altima, his alt, actively sought out people who sold any mats he was after and would commission them to get more for him. And he paid extremely well. As a noob, this was extremely helpful. I liked that dude. One day when I saw him on after being disappeared for a long time, he claimed to me that he gave baldr his stuff because he knew he was going to be in trouble, and was now trying to get it back even though his character was gone. Baldr didn't want to give the stuff to an alt because he didn't think he'd actually return to play(more likely he just wanted to keep the stuff.) Definitely questionable behavior towards someone who was his friend, and as my linkshell has already stated, that dude ghosted everyone. So I don't have much need to defend him, but that story has been spun to make him look worse than he was. And calling someone a sociopath is a massive stretch imo for ghosting his internet friends, most likely due to high levels embarrassment of being banned. I don't think I'd be able to not say goodbye to my friends here at least, but I do understand not wanting to.
