Crazy ass idea: have all LS's appoint a /random person. Winner keeps alliance in zone, "losers" keep a holding party in case. That's about as best as it'll get an still keep it random with claiming.

Also wastes alot less people time.

It's about as good of an idea as it is unrealistic, I guess. If my LS can get 18 people at a camp, why would I random 1 for 1 with an LS that can get 12 at the camp? Randoming means I have 50/50 odds. Staying means I have 60% odds. Looks like I'm staying.

How is that unrealistic at all? It's the most fair way also since as stated before: most of the time the actual first claim LS doesn't actually kill it. Add HyperNova to the equation last night and you're looking at 250 not 228.

being against pop items makes no sense. you still need to farm 99 seals, beat the ks99, and hope pop items drop. make nq not 100% from ks99 and lower drop rate on hq items, i dont care, just let us have more options to play and enjoy the game. what does it matter to you if a group sat afk for 3 hours to get a kill or worked to get the pop items?

I've seen so many people bitch and moan about thing's being "out of Era" in the game. Then I hear some of the same people want pop items for HNMs. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I edited my post to say why it's not "fair". The reason why it's not realistic is because it's a lot of work that is made entirely useless by any group deciding that they don't want to participate.

This system would benefit everyone in my shell by far the most on server. We have people sitting on hundred maybe thousands of KS seals. This game isnt about pop the mob its about competing against rivals LSs for the mob. Its 10000000x more fulfilling when you claim a Nidhogg and get Ebody or whatever your after for months. Pop items will not provide the same feeling or difficulty that the item should have.

Yes I understand lag is a issue right now and last night was a shit show. Hopefully nasomi fixes the problem with hardware upgrade. FFXI should never be easy mode with pop items, it takes the fun and rivalry out the game. One of the main reason I play this game is to talk shit to other LSs, its been a SapaJoee past time since retail.
