Can't attest to Mr. Carrot here, but Nasomi/Nabutso did repeatedly tell my LS that "everything is working as intended" and "it is completely random" until overwhelming evidence showed otherwise.

Also saying people exploited char ids is kinda just a dumb way to put it. People learned that when their character was made in a certain time, they had a nice advantage at getting auto claim to pick them. You can't actually blame the person for camping an nm they want a drop from. They obviously couldn't choose to make their character at a time when they knew they'd end up with an advantage. Even once they knew, you still can't blame them for using an advantage weirdly given to them. Everyone uses any small advantage they can get in this game. Carrot pretty much just speaks out of his ass.
