there is validity in wanting the Rare/EX version to drop on the overworld and the sellable version from BCNMs. It was a change made to retail after all.

For one, it would reduce RMT gilfarming options. I have a feeling that would cut some personal enjoyment from nas himself though, cause this is the most obvious thing that should have been changed if he doesn't otherwise get a kick out of banning people.

Secondly, It's tougher to farm seals for orbs, and tougher to get those rare bcmn loots in your treasure pool anyway. The higher risk and higher cost of doing bcnm's should come with a high reward in terms of the option to sell the equipment.

That's not really propaganda, he really did that, but that was back when the server was tiny and it was all in fun. I think at that time he had just found out he could do that, but he was also vocal in a serverwide linkshell with it. Afaik nobody got butthurt about it *shrugs* I got a few chuckles out of the old nas that interacted with players.

Far as NM loot being rare/ex, its better that it's not rare/ex. That decision was made a long time ago. So let's say you come across a lucky streak and get some gil, and now you want to level nin or thf. You want to be able to just run and buy a fair priced leaping boots and emp pin? or you want to grind another 20 hours of your life away camping the drops or wasting seals on bad loot pools? what if the loot pools is bcnm break? like now? Gilz not worth having if there's nothing for sell. We learned that a long time ago on this server as well. Sometimes having items on the AH is worth more than what they cost, I like seeing people camp leapinf lizzie and valkurm emperor, but.... We all know explaining that is lost on some people *cough*

Emp pin and leaping boots are already priced like they're ultra rare bcnm drops like monomi. If you're suggesting the price would go up if they were BCNM, that seems wrong. If anything the price would go down from a higher collective frequency of them. Only takes a few minutes to run a BCNM, but the spawn windows on these NM's are like a day.

Theres a few items in game that have an identical renamed version which are Rare/EX unsellable. In retail, the Rare/EX versions drop on the overworld, while the sellable versions drop in BCNM's.

How exactly are they priced like super rare BCNM drops? Emp hairpin is 190-200k and leaping boots are 300k neither are necessary for leveling. As stated before the "window isn't like a day" your information is bad and you should feel bad.
