Probably better not to know. Now people can't snipe without some risk to their characters, but people also can't be huge assholes without risk that people can snipe them unpunished.

I don't mind DB being labeled assholes, which I disagree with (meh), but how is this second group "continuing to be assholes"? With the first group I can at least see an argument with zone reset and the confusion, but this second group is a completely separate group, had nothing to do with the other night's group and warned him multiple times. Also, it isn't that hard that if you have a disagreement you find a solution. Last night after a 453 hour Nid watch party our group's sleep and a second group's RDM zoned into Valk at the same time and both holding parties were completed at the same time. We randomed, my group lost and so we left for Qufim. Does it suck? Yea. Does it help keep the peace some? I can only hope. Just don't be dicks, not that hard. Unless you work 2 jobs, you have no real excuse not to wait in line for your groups turn.

Oh, I wasn't referring to the people that tank MPK'd in that second group as being assholes for anything they did within that screenshot.

I just meant that most of the DB groups that run Dyna Bubu will continue to be assholes, in general, because that is their natural state.

The problem with most of the Dyna drama is that the majority of it is hear/say. "I hear my ls's side and I am impartial to them. So fuck everyone else." is the basic mentality, which I am just as guilty of sometimes. However, the rules were put in place to stop this wild west attitude and it is a shame people don't always want to obey them. People think their time is more important than someone else's. Which irl and in game is not the case. Unfortunately, there will always be people who value their time higher than other's.

Side note, I can't wait to finish my groups first round of relics and take a small break from dyna for these reasons, tbh.

To be clear, I don't hate the DB group. I'm friends with plenty of people that are assholes. We're all adults. These aren't rules, they're just things random groups agreed to. Most of the people participating in these, at this point, didn't even have an opportunity to participate in the discussion around these things.

It's whatever. Tankfest gave up whatever moral high ground he had when he entered on top of a different group, and MPK'd them again. I still think the group involved in this original issue were also being highly shitty people, but it doesn't really matter anymore.

I thought I'd see mention of this in this thread this morning. There's more to it than two groups simply following the rules and /randoming for claim on Valk. The part that gets me is the "just don't be dicks" part, which you guys were clearly being.

First of all, I do work a job 8AM to 5PM, 40-50 hours a week. And every day I get home, there's at least 2 or 3 holding parties out in BuBu. Same people every night. I rarely have the opportunity to go in and merit. And you know, that's fine; it's a little upsetting that people who don't have jobs/live on the east coast basically have claim, but that's just the way it is I guess.

So, I went out there about 7PM EST, thereabouts, and start putting my party together while it's empty. When I have about 4 people ready to go, Impulse (I think) rolls up and goes in, which is not something I had a problem with seeing as how we weren't ready and still waiting on our RDM to show who was still going to be a little while. Shortly thereafter we get our 5th and are just waiting on our RDM to finish up at Nid before we go in.

About an hour and a half later, while most of us had already been there waiting for nearly 2 hours, our RDM shows up at nearly the exact same time as DB shows up and they earnestly expect us to just give up our position because "their RDM got their first". They started spouting off something about the "rules" or whatever, which I can honestly say I didn't really give a shit about in that particular instance because I had people who had been waiting there for 2 hours and I'm not about to give up our spot because some arbitrary rule, that I never agreed to; never had a say in; was about to fuck us over, says I have to have a sleeper in my party in order to be holding the position. It's just not happening. Sorry.

Our RDM decides he's feeling lucky and says he's going to roll and at that point I really couldn't care either way what happens because it's all quite frankly a load of horseshit. He rolls, we win and they leave.

My point to all of this is that: The rules are arbitrary, a lot of us never agreed to them. Have some god damn courtesy.

Fujin the type of guy to ask you to stay in Dynamis an extra 30mins to cockblock another group from going in before reset. Think that should be added before we start giving DB a pass on what happened in the 2nd scenario(MPK is still bad mmkay).

Edit: I don't understand everybody's infatuation with staying the full 2hrs. Aeroo and I usually take ~75mins start to finish with 4 characters. Why can't groups with 6 be similar so more groups can run?

lol like I said... trying to enforce an agreement that the people you're discussing with didn't play a role in forming is going to have issues sometimes. I think people ignore common sense/spirit of the creation of the holding party agreement when it suits them, and that those people commonly have a blue pearl on. That's all I was saying.

Obviously... If an entire group has been there for 2hours besides a RDM, and your entire group shows up while the zone isn't empty.. and their RDM shows up before the zone does become empty? The 4-5 people standing there for hours is going to enter next, and not really care about the made up rules you're talking about.

If the zone empties, and the RDM still isn't there, then they aren't ready to enter when they can.
