OperationFail, that I can deal with, as dumb as it is, it's also affecting the server I've been playing on and it's worse than "3-8" minute duration, more lik 35sec-5min, the timers are a pain and a complete waste, but I've come to live with it, so no skin off my bones.

I'm more curious if my solo spots are still as good as they were before and if a couple really weak/useless things actually work. Like Fencer's Ring (Works on every other server I've tried, I recall it never once working on Nasomi,) and Elemental Wheel not eating insane resists even with capped Ninjutsu and an asinine amount of INT+ gear thanks to Red Mage.

If there are still things you want to do, then I think it's worth coming back. It's certainly worth poking around and seeing if you still want to play since you're not spending any money in finding out.

Fencer ring is still borked unfortunately. I tested it last week.

THAT REMINDS ME DASHIE... You're going to be fucking PUMPED for this. Nas fixed Mazurka. Well... actually he broke Mazurka, but he fixed what you were mad about. Now Mazurka wears basically anytime you get aggro, even if it doesn't hit you.. which isn't accurate, but I guess it's better than being able to Mazurka KB.

Oh goodie, we have someone that knows nothing, and someone that assumes things now... First off, no, Ele Wheel did not work how it should, resist rates are far too high, I should not be eating consistent half resists on Even Match to Tough monsters as Nin/Rdm in full Int+Skill Gear. So if resists are truly down, then I can go finish meriting Ninjutsu and resume soloing VT-ITs for exp 'cause I had absolutely no issues Nin/Drg melee'ing them down for more per katana swing than the Ele wheel was doing. This was like a month before I dropped from Nasomi.

On another note, perhaps can get Nasomi to actually fix the other latent rings as they work on every other DSP-based server perfectly, Rip32/hitEnspells™. Since some of the rings are actually pretty damn good in their own rights, it's just the metasheep seem to desire a specific playstyle given as a whole. Who knew a Rdm doing 80-100/Auto before Enspells was decent, slap on a free +32 for 112-132/Auto... How hard could it actually be to fix the Latent Rings since Blm & Brd's works anyway?

And being unorthodox as a player, anti-meta, and being able to do literally everything on par (or better in very select instances) with the best psychopath as an anime icon is better than not having a pfp whatsoever. Now excuse me, I'll go solo 13k exp/hr because Goblins are suicidal suicide bombers and Rdm can eat 0 damage due to resistances and the like. And that's something I highly doubt Nasomi'll ever change since it's just me going and soloing VT-ITs for Chain4-6s with 0 downtime. #JustRedMageThings™

Uhhh... Sure, back to the post from a few months ago. Ninjutsu works exactly the same now as it did then, and also Ninjutsu has worked for everyone not named Dashie for a long time now.

Take that for whatever you'd like, I guess.

Guy was in an LS with Baldr(RIP to his forum takedowns) who had BiS Ninjutsu and would use it in situations it was viable. Still feels Ninjutsu was broken.

Yeah, lol, ele-wheel NIN is basically the only thing I've ever used NIN for since I finished it. It worked/has worked fine for the time I've been here. Oh well.

I'm not an elite as many others who replied and I'm not sure who your target audience was in your post. It seems like FFXI is great end-game if you like playing caster jobs, cor and bard.

FFXI is about the journey, not the destination. This being said, only you can answer your own question my friend. If you're looking for anyone's opinion then I'd have to say that the FFXI (Nasomi) experience is only worth it if you're having fun with friends and awesome LS members. Without this, it feels like an empty shell ... for me anyways. I often find myself sitting in my mog house deciding on what to do when there are no events ... wasting time
