Anyone willing to come up with a better solution than ip tracking is welcome to do so. Every step i've taken has been to enhance the security of the server and personal accounts. The ONE email/forum account allowing 3 game accounts was supposed to resolve this issue, and has helped greatly. However very few chinese abide by this policy. Even so, I do not actively hunt them down and enforce this policy, if they followed it would make their accounts safer and my job easier.. Aside from collecting billing information from each person, I don't know what else I can do. "This is not my character." -This statement has no merit when you connect from the same IP, yet you don't follow the 1 forum account rule.

first off this happened to me also i dont care that i was banned but my friend uses my laptop at work and uses same ip and he is innocent he has sent tickets but mr. clean wont listen to him so fuck it he plays wow classic now

Seems it needs to be spelled out a little better for you guys.

• Account sharing is not permitted in any way. Your character is yours, and yours alone.
• Violating this rule will link your character with another IP that does not belong to you.
• If a character from that IP performs an action resulting in discipline, your characters will also be subject to the same punishment, up to and including loss of character/account.

This means that if you visit someone's house and connect, using the same IP, you have just linked your character with your friend's.

Therefore, either

1). Neither of you can read.

2). Your friend cannot read and you do not care about your friend.
