Nasomi disabled OWNMs yesterday (Loot table set to 0) due to some people apparently crashing zones, bypassing respawn timers, and manipulating coding gaps to their advantage. I am not sure who the culprit is but FOR SHAME...
This has been confirmed by LS via system message, and via Nas direct in IIRC.

Anyways I'll admit I've been after them for a few days hunting for refresh, and Uts:Ni. This is a little disappointing, as getting 5 people to come with has been fun for the past couple days. I didn't think there was any problem with them besides being hard on players without capped skills, and decent gear. 25min doesn't seem so long when an OWNM is chasing you. Apparently I was naive.

The purpose of this thread is to try to share the status of OWNMs during this fix. I missed the announcement that they were disabled, so I'll probably miss the announcement they have been enabled. Hoping Nas can cook up a quick, and simple fix, but I know people will take advantage of any hole they find, so he has his work cut out for him.

I knew the crashing zones was a common problem, may have accidentally done it myself a couple times in Garlaige due to a bad series of deaths... Haven't heard of respawn timing issues and manipulating code gaps though O.o

I'm not 100% sure the exact cause, but what I heard was people found a way to get more loot out of them in a day then was intended. Enough so that it cause an Nasomi to act immediately.

"too easy" =/= "make things available on custom NMs that otherwise can't be obtained in their normal fashion" (Although I'm not sure why some working BCNMs have OWNMs...)

Yes they make it far to easy being able to do 10+ ownms a day without needing to use seals and making millions of gil daily takes the challenge away.
