Someone should setup a server that periodically gets reset every few month like D2 ladder reset. The source code is free so anyone can setup that type of server.

What happens when the ladder resets? Everyone back to square 1? Good luck keeping people for more than a season or two at a time. Everyone gets moved to non-ladder automatically? That's a lot of time/money/supplies needed to run not just 1 but 2 stable servers.

also, two months means some content is going to be unreachable except by propping up a few "rock star" players just to see that it can be done. do you want more disparity?
