I've been talking to a bunch of people trying to exp after today's monster level changes. General consensus is that the game is broken in its current state. Many people are now at the point where they are calling today a wash, and waiting for the change to be reverted, or altered.

Has anyone found any viable camps at the new monster levels?

Saw the announcement on Facebook and laughed, thinking to myself "Looks like Nas did a bunch of extra work to keep his stupid 20 level restriction in place."

Yeah I don't understand the point of this whole month of events. Why can't people just play the game to have fun. This is starting to become work. Hunting for the right jobs, at the right level, and the right place to be open. My favorite time on Nasomi is still late Nov when i joined.

Valkrum Dunes has been altered again, so maybe its usable? I hear Qufim pugs are now good at level 24. Its like the shift made Nasomi better for high level players and screwed all the noobs/new jobs people are starting.


The slightly off topic comment:
Seems like a lot of work on Nas to keep the 20 sync, have merit camps, and not enable ToAU. Seems like this would be a good excuse to stop messing with CoP content, and turn ToAU back on for merit parties (Sorry had to throw that in).

The overall mob layout is rather random, the levels are inconsistent, and there are almost no well thought out camps, only happy accidents. He's been back and forth on getting this done for years, but it's a rather daunting undertaking. Looks like he's finally committing himself to getting it done. I can't wait to see what comes out of it. I'm sure there will be some bumps along the way, but it's always worked out well in the end, no reason to think it would end any other way this time.

Seems like people will need to take some time to adjust to different camps for different level ranges but so far it seems like it's been a pretty positive change for the higher level xp areas.

So I'm all for the changes in the exp camps, but CoP 2-3 minotaur and probably other similar things definitely did not need the hike in difficulty.

Mobs would not be so difficult if they did not TP spam 24/7. I wish we could get an official word on that.

Also, is the vagueness of these 'changes' really needed? A simple "check out the following camps at these levels now..." would suffice. Not sure why everything needs to be so vague.

Ok...we should compile a list or something. This makes sites like campsitarus, allakaz and ffxi wiki irrelevant depending on the extent of these changes.
