Not really corruption. Godmode has been backing away from Eden for quite some time, bringing more people on to do the things he was doing. It's been clear that something like this was already in the works before this C&D stuff happened. Even says right in the picture "not like, stealing it, we're planning a transfer of power".
For all the "Eden is super toxic" that these forums like to preach, the toxicity displayed in this thread is pretty rough. Both servers have their toxic people. The server doesn't make the player base toxic. How about comparing the differences between the actual servers, instead of their player base?

The playerbase in an MMO is a rather important feature...

While true, using the (obvious) minority to generalize against the majority is pretty stupid. It's rare that I encounter toxic people on Eden. Those that I do, just /blist and move on. They make a name for themselves pretty quickly and get rooted out that way.

Uhh.... People that don't own something planning a "transfer of power" without the consultation of the person that owns said thing is pretty GD bad. Like if I plan a transfer of power of your car from you to me, that'd probably upset you right? Anyone reading those logs can see that they're doing it because they don't think Godmode can be trusted to run the site anymore.

If you don't think the trustworthiness of the devs, or the stability of the server, is a meaningful point in comparing the actual servers..... I can't really help you.

As for the toxicity of this thread being displayed, try this: Imagine a world where someone never made this thread. Imagine the possibilities.

Context matters quite a bit, and the picture is lacking it. Not to mention the general Nasomi population not knowing the interworkings of Eden, it's community, nor it's staff.

If you think that's how partnerships discuss transferring the ownership of someone, I feel bad for your personal life. Yes, once the shit blows over they are going to tell Godmode that they are taking the server. That is, technically, "with godmode".

Ignoring that you have no idea what anyone else knows about Eden, it's community, nor it's staff... None of that is really that relevant, when there's a screenshot of the Devs talking about taking the server away form Godmode.

However, if you'd like to add any context to a screenshot clearly showing the devs talking about taking away the server from Godmode.. By all means, context away. If you don't have any context that changes what is clearly being discussed in the screenshot though, I'm not sure what you're doing here either.

For all this talk of toxicity, taking that discord screenshot and manipulating it out of context is about as toxic as it gets.

Nobody is stealing anything. There is no controversy here. Me posting here isn't damage control. Of all the things i've let slip publicly, this out of context screenshot doesn't even breach the top 1000.

Sometimes people just don't want the pressure that the threat of legal trouble (real or not) brings, especially when you are a highly risk adverse person.

I may have been inappropriate with my phrasing, but I can assure you, this is about as drama free of a situation as your drama hungry minds can muster.

As someone that owns something worth a good amount of money, if someone that helped me with that had talks with others where they said I had to go and "its over", as if they have a say when something is over and when I need to go.....
