It's not like you can really hide where items/gil go. The only (longterm) reason to hack and strip an account is out of spite or RMT, but you would need to be able to unload it quickly for the latter. If Nasomi investigates this, there is literally no information that you have access to that would make it easier than having access to the server database. The only people who will benefit from this is future hackers/social engineers. You are just giving them more insight/ammo.

In the meantime, I would craft on an alt, but that's just me.

I laid out a more reasonable case instead of being aggressive toward the value of the original post. I could tell that Ivan was an intelligent, logic individual with wants, needs, and desires that we all share. I treated him as such.

Well the guy did his homework, I'd accuse the same people using the same evidence if it was me. Future note though, OP seems to understand how to get to the information he/she wants, refocus that into securing your data in the future, and it's possible you won't have to go through this again. I can agree nasomis security isn't airtight anymore, but it was most likely a combination of loose practice on your end + antique security on nasomis end that got you tagged. A few steps that could help
1. Don't use the same name for your login as your character.
2. Don't use a password that you've used on another website or login
3. VPN can help cover your ip/mac
4. Don't offroad the internet without java and flash blocked (chrome and firefox have an app for that)
5. Keep windows security updated
6. If you use linux or ubuntu try to customize your iptable libraries and keep it updatef
7. Emulation and VMware OSs are plagued with security problems, you'll want to setup some Switch or NAT security to add layers of redundancy if you use this kind of stuff

as IRL, you can't expect things to go perfectly (but srsly, I don't duel-box but almost more than half the server does) ...inviting more opportunity for corruption, expect it!
