Just because you can dyna merit doesn't mean that you have to. It's like heroin. It's always available, but you don't have to dip that sweet, sweet needle into your arm. You can drop your relic(s), ask Nasomi to reset your merits, and pretend those avenues aren't available. Unless you are confessing that you have no impulse control, and that you are a slave to your own weaknesses...
You be you.
Wanting merits to be retail accurate in both cap and the way you obtain them is my stance. Why would I drop my relics when I only have a problem with the merits? Why would I gimp myself super hard when the competition isn't? Why does me using the tools available on the server make me a heroin addict?
People were talking about merits, when that happens dyna merits gets mentioned. Doing that means you will get replies saying how some wish it wasn't like that. Is it really that hard to grasp?

Yes and we're saying it was a shit system that I'm willing to bet all my gil, Nas didn't know acted in this way. For a guy who loves the old school party experience and hates people exploiting to get past it(sync restrictions, sync bug bans), I'd imagine he'd have a pretty big problem on 6 characters getting 110-130k exp in 2 hours.
You're missing the point of my replies. I'm encouraging everyone to play at their own pace. If you (generic you) feel that you (generic you) need to play the game in "EZ mode" because it's available/everyone else is doing it and you (generic you) feel the need to compete then by all means. It doesn't effect me. If you (generic you) want to refrain from doing that and, as I said, "be an island" then be happy being an island. I play at my own pace, and I'm not complaining and I didn't quote anyone specific with my previous responses because they were for everyone. God bless everybody.
