Well an ethernet connection didn't work either, starting to run out of ideas.

Someone last night had a similar issue and found out it was something to do with their ISP.

Did they specify what their problem is or how they fixed it?

All they said was they "traced the problem to their ISP"

Okay guys I went to my brother's house for the weekend to help him move and I ended up bringing my computer over just to try to set it up and see if it would work. Sure enough it did, so I had to assume it was my network. I figured on a whim today when I came back home to try OpenVPN and it gave me a different IP. I'm not sure how or why it worked but now I can freely log into the game. If anyone else is having the issue of not being able to actually log in at all then just try downloading a few different VPNs. Maybe some other people already knew this fix but I mean it's news to me and I'm pretty happy. Now I can actually start my time with this game. Looking forward to it

Confirmed ISP issue. VPN resolved issue as well.
