I walked into the castle and the screen stuck just showing the "downloading data" and then gave a FFXI-3001 message. I've used the clear session utility on the maintenance screen. I've restarted my machine. This first happened almost 2 hours ago. I was hoping some time would cure the problem.

At the character selection screen, the game indicates that my character is in the castle. But, I keep getting the same stuck screen and the 3001 error message. Just not sure what to do to try and resolve on my end, if possible.

I've been playing most of the day. And, I've not encountered this error previously.

It will eventually fix automatic

You're right. It did. I just had to walk away for a few hours. Turns out, it happened to others yesterday as well.
