Hi Server,

It works. Please don't cheap out and only bring HQ pets only, accr/attk food and best weapons.

Info:

- BST pet can easily handle adds if no sleeper in party
- BST can pull with Fight / Heel / Fight and tank pet until current mob is dead
- In Mount Z camps, my Galka BST was hitting for 48 dmg per swing on avg (x2) (dual wield)
- HQ Tiger Pet was hitting for around 82 dmg on average but accuracy still too low for my liking
- Rampage with maxing out 629 dmg with Corsair, around 450 dmg without Cor on average because multi-hit WS are wonky on Nas (I have good gearZ) and I was skill chaining with Samurai every fight

So yes it works. I know, I know, people usually invite BST for level sync and when there are not many people seeking

I have to agree..especially at a bit lower levels, bst with hq jug pets is awesome in a party.

I think this falls into the "hot people are hot" category. BST with whitebox gear, good food, and hq pets will do decently yes...but most people running across this willing to try it out and invite the next bst they see will be one of those who use nq pet, crappy gear, and have damage output worse than plds with great sword. Should either rename the topic to "please invite my bst cause im good" or "psa beastmasters please stop sucking so we can all enjoy pt benefits".

“It works” in the sense that you literally deal damage.... just not much compared to the relatively available DD jobs.

At any rate, this is ignoring the best issue which is that if you invite a BST to an XP party they’re most likely going to be dumb as shit.

Sadly, I think this is true. I love BST but actually hated soloing so spent most of my time in normal xp parties (or the occasional BST group, which was super fun). I did ok, but had to gear to the teeth as well. If I put that same effort into another DPS, I'd have been much more useful.

BST can totally fit into a party like you're doing and be awesome, but it just takes so much more effort that most BST with their flag up just aren't going to be bringing. Best off making a name for yourself as a well geared BST that can do these things to help out so YOU get invites. All of those BST who show up with outdated NQ gear, Courier Carrie, and an underleveled sub because they can get away with that solo are going to keep going out to parties and being what people remember.

Also, like Aeroo suggested, I much preferred BST/WAR and felt like I did considerably more damage, though parties continued to ask me to come /nin just because that's what they knew from other DD.

I am yet to reach 75 on my bst, but I'm currently sitting at 65, and with good equipment, I was nearly always the top DD in my parties from level 23 (jugs) to level 50.

It's true that damage was really bad between 50 and 55, but then it got slightly better at 55 with Rampage... still it's nothing compared to jobs that use piercing dmg on colibris (my rampages were doing between 250 and 350, while SATA+Viper were doing 500-600, slug shots 500-600, sidewinders 800).

All in all, I would say that BST is a VERY solid job at low level, but it dies down a bit later. I'm curious to see what it will look like at 75!

It doesn’t work but is ok. Only problem is that most bst give a bad name and are really lazy and just want to sit there and do nothing and not even want help set up sata. It’s not even worth trying to put up with a shitty bst. And don’t forget the ones who say they forgot their dmg gear
