I lvld my drk to 75 1st most of the way I did it 2 boxing my alt as whm without parties, things were different back then though. Took awhile to get my whm to 75 cause I kept setting her on fire and running her through aggro to clear my path, cause she had rr and why not? So now that I have a 75 whm and rdm alt I almost always bring her out to level lower jobs on my main. The players that put the effort into leveling 2 chars getting gear and such can't be held accountable for how the community reacts to the QoL we bring to the table. If someone rages cause you don't have a PL just take a pen and paper and write their name down then be sure to avoid the little leeching bastards on your way through. I usually solo PL myself these days cause parties are typically shit. Normally I'd be the only one PLing and stretching my brain cause the other 3 or 4 party members that "could" be PLing have their alts at a camp or in town crafting, which is communism.... If you ever get the chance to lvl an alt you won't regret it, just don't get taken advantage of by those PL junkies in the process. Good luck^^
^ This, thank you for this. I appreciate your input and value the response. "Set her on fire" Ha!

Dual-boxing being allowed means that a large percentage of the player base have their own pocket heal handy (rather than having to guilt a close friend into PL'ing for them). In any group of 5-6 people, odds are at least one has an alt that can probably heal/PL. For many folks, after they've leveled their umpteenth job through the dunes, they're just looking to get it done and over with and would much rather go 4x DD + BRD + COR with a PL or two and knock out 15-20k or even 40k/hr+ (depending on level range and camp, of course) than jump on the strugglebus for 3-5k/hr. This is especially true for 'high-demand' jobs that rarely have to lfp for more than a few minutes before getting peppered with invites during prime time. Do I personally still have fun even in a PLD THF DRG WHM RDM BLM party with no PL? Sure. I can sport the rose-tinted nostalgia goggles like the best of them. I just hope that the DRG came /WAR so he can be first-voke while the THF sets up SATA on the PLD! Come on BLM, let's see that Blizzaga II MB off the phat Distortion we just laid down! DIE CRAB!!!!11one
That said, is it kinda crappy to ask whether there's a PL ahead of time and decline an invite if there isn't? Yeah, I think so. I've never done it, even while leveling BRD. Is it a dick move to accept the invite then bail in a fit of salty candor once you get to camp and realize there isn't a PL like you assumed there _should_ be (generally screwing the entire party over in the process)? Absolutely. If you're gonna have an attitude like that, go level your own damned alt, or at least bring it along with you.
Speaking of salt, people tend to have long memories here, and it's much harder to be taken seriously in endgame when people remember you as that guy that sounded like he was fresh off of playing CoD and trading colored insults while discussing the finer points about bedding your Mother. Not saying OP was doing this, but just something to think about.
You make very solid points and I thank you for the input. Also you are right. I should not have egged on that other guy. I have a bad habbit on jumping on the A-hole approach when people act ignorant. But I thank you for pointing out the flaws in my thinking.
